What is Liberty Work?

Liberty work is an equestrian method that allows you to interact with your horse without the use of reins, saddles, or restrictive equipment. This approach focuses on communication through voice, gestures, and body language, aiming to build a relationship of trust, mutual respect, and harmony between rider and horse.

During this clinic, you will learn how to:

• Use your body language to guide the horse with subtle signals.
• Strengthen the connection and mutual trust with your horse.
• Work on your horse’s responsiveness, encouraging it to respond solely to your posture and voice.
• Improve the horse’s mobility and agility through circles, transitions, and lateral movements without traditional equipment.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, this session is designed for all levels and will allow you to explore a new way of working with horses in a respectful and enriching environment.

Your Coach:

Vanessa is a multidisciplinary circus artist and accomplished rider with over 15 years of experience. A specialist in liberty work and vaulting, she has performed with Cirque du Soleil and Cavalia worldwide. With her unique expertise in communicating with horses, Vanessa will guide you with care and help you build a strong, intuitive connection with your horse.

The Horses:

Participants will have the opportunity to work with the Club EQ horses as weel astwo experienced liberty work horses, Mustang and Taisey, owned by Vanessa. These well-trained horses, highly responsive to non-verbal signals, will accompany riders throughout the session. Their calm nature and responsiveness will make learning liberty work techniques easier and more enjoyable.

Price:

💰 $100 (plus taxes) per participant, including horse
This option is for those who want to actively participate in the clinic. As a participant, you’ll be paired with a horse and have the opportunity to practice the exercises and interact directly with the horses under the coach’s guidance.

💰 $25 (plus taxes) per spectator
This option is for those who prefer to observe without participating. As a spectator, inside the arena you can watch hear and learn the clinic exercises without taking part in the practical exercises.
